Action Committees

Meets: Quarterly for Leadership Board meetings and monthly at the Chamber of Commerce for Board of Directors meeting.

Duties: Serve as YP representative within the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors with full voting rights. Regarding the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

Meets: Quarterly for Leadership Board meetings as well as additional committee meetings as needed. President sits on Lima YP’s Mayor’s Cabinet.

Duties: Lead quarterly Leadership Board meetings; represent the Lima YP to media, at events and on all official YP correspondence; serve as Mayor’s Cabinet Facilitator; oversees progress of Lima YP committees – offering assistance or providing feedback to committee chairs, ensuring tasks are being completed. With the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

Meets: Quarterly for Leadership Board meetings as well as additional committee meetings as needed. Vice President sits on Lima YP’s Mayor’s Cabinet.

Duties: Steps in to represent the Lima YP to media, at events and on all official YP correspondence when the President is unavailable; assist the President with overseeing Lima YP committees, should the President be unable. Regarding the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

Meets: Quarterly for Leadership Board meetings as well as additional committee meetings as needed. Secretary sits on Lima YP’s Mayor’s Cabinet.

Duties: Steps in to represent the Lima YP to media, at events and on all official YP correspondence when the President or Vice President is unavailable. Writes agendas and keeps minutes for all leadership body meetings. Regarding the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

This committee mainly organizes and hosts the bi-monthly Pub Clubs that are held at different bars and restaurants throughout the Lima area. They also coordinate any larger social event that the YP might undertake. Committee Chair reports all committee activities to the Leadership Body. Regarding the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

This committee is responsible for planning and organizing the monthly professional development luncheons that are held the third Tuesday of the month. This committee is responsible for marketing the Lima Young Professionals and their events through television, radio, billboards and print. This committee is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Lima YP social media pages and website. Committee is responsible for development and distribution of monthly newsletters and as needed News Flashes They also oversee the media trades between the Lima YP and various organizations in the community. Committee Chair reports all committee activities to the Leadership Body. Regarding the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

This committee is responsible for organizing all of the Lima YP’s outreach efforts, including the Green Tie Affair. This committee also reviews and selects community events for the YP to participate in throughout the year. This committee also is responsible for the education sub-committee, providing outreach efforts into Lima’s school systems. Committee Chair reports all committee activities to the Leadership Body. Regarding the Chamber of Commerce, this person is instrumental in making YP-related decisions.

This committee is responsible for the development and retention of the Lima YP membership base. It is critical for this committee to maintain communication between members and the Leadership Board to ensure we are providing relevant information to keep our members engaged.
